We are so glad you are considering Vitoria for your dance education. As a new student the information below will help you get started. We look forward to getting acquainted with you and your student this year and hope you find this information helpful!

 

How are we different?

Often times in order to make a decision we do a comparison we know your dance education is no different. Below is a list of things that may be different about us than other studios. We're not gimmicky and we don't claim to be the best dance studio in the universe. We realize that dance training is not one size fits all. We hope this is helpful as you are trying to compare dance programs so you can make the best decision for your family.

 

• We are Christian based but, you do not have to be a Christian to attend. Our program is set up on biblical principles and our staff follows a code of coduct that ensures that your child's teacher and all those involved in the program will be good role models.

• Our class sizes are small depending on the class there will only be 8-12 students in your class. This ensures each student gets individualized attention.

• Our music and costuming is family friendly. If it isn't appropriate for the whole family you won't see it or hear it.

• We don't do competitions. There's nothing wrong with competitions, it's just not who we are. Our focus is more of a learning based program with an emphasis on technical development. We are patterned after a traditional dance company or university style program where students learn terminology and the history of dance in addition to technique.

• We work very hard to make sure our classes, performances and programs are as economical as we can make them. We offer scholarships too because we believe that anyone should be able to learn to dance regardless of price. We also match any studios tuition price.

• We don't want you to feel like a number but a member of our family. We love getting to know our families and try to make the studio feel like home. This is your child's dance education and it is our pleasure to work hand and hand with you.

• You can sign up or withdraw at anytime.  We understand parents want flexibility so we don't make you comit to a tuition term that may add stress to your schedule.

• We offer free adult and boys classes with a paying student.

 

 

Signing Up and Class Placement

Trying to find the perfect class for you or your student can be tricky. The class description page is a good place to start. Often times if you are still unsure as to which class is the best fit we suggest you come in for a trial week by completing the form at the bottom of this page. For dancers coming from other studios we will schedule a placement class in order to determine which class  or classes will be the best for you. Please feel free to contact us if you need assistance.

 

After you enroll, now what?

Log onto your student account and make sure the following is complete: your contact information is correct, the students birthday is on the account,  there is an email address on your account, you add an emergency contact on your account and if there is any medical information we need to know please make sure that is added on there as well.

 

You will receive a packet in the mail that will include a liability and image release form, student handbook and a confirmation of your child's enrollment. Please complete and return the forms the first week of classes.

Kick off party

August 23 11am-1pm is our kick off party to welcome in the 2014-15 season. You can purchase dance wear, pick up your students attendance tag and registration gift, there is a parent meeting that is very informative that you are welcome to attend and we will have lots of great food.

 

Your first week of classes

Don't worry if you don't have all of your attire your first class. If you need assistance we can help you. Try to arrive early so you can meet your teacher and get acquainted with the studio. You can find out what studio you are in by stopping at the front desk. Feel free to stick around and look through the viewing window or run some errands during your child's class. After class students can stop by the front desk for something special.
